Five years ago we decided to post our family tree research on the web at lensonbaird.com.  Over the years we have received many wonderful comments, support, and invaluable contributions.  To those of you we are truly thankful. 

However, not all comments have been as nice.  Even though we strove to post only information that is publicly available through sources such as libraries, government records and newspapers, some people mentioned in the tree have requested removal of their records.  Some of these "requests" have been threats of legal action.  It has always been our policy to honour the wishes of people listed on our site and modify their information as they saw fit.  In hindsight, removing relatives from our trees was a mistake.  We were left with a piecemeal, censored, incomplete list of our families.  It should be the intention of every genealogist to provide complete and accurate information; not to remove historical facts.  Conscience told us we should either re-add the names or take down our site.  We have chosen the latter and will continue our research offline.

Once again, to those who have been supportive and helped contribute to the Lenson and Baird genealogies we thank you.
